This drill bit is for drilling the hammer strut hole in your P226, P228, or P229 frame using the Matrix Precision P226 Drill Jig or the Matrix Precision P228/P229 Drill Jig.

This drill bit is short so that it prevents you accidentally drilling into the magwell. Put the drill all the way into your drill chuck and then sneak it out gradually until the hole is fully cut.
