This was my first attempt at building a 1911 .45 ACP, and after carefully researching and going over a few instructional videos, I went with this tooling package, and boy did I get my money’s worth! This tooling package is heavy duty and will last a few builds. The decking jig takes off the right amount of material while leaving you with a fraction more to sand down the file marks.
The rail cutting jig is well made and extremely easy to operate. I love the fact that you can attach a cordless drill to make the cutting process smoother. I recommend taking your time and be very generous with the cutting oil for the cutters and grease for the rail car.
This tooling package is worth the investment if you’re into building 1911’s. Well done Matrix Precision Arms!
